Well I have returned from the front.... !!!

Whoa what an amazing feeling my feet lifted off the ground, and my nervous shakes got worse as I was handed the ticket.... I was going to see the Gods of Metal....

We arrived at Parken at 8 am in the morning on the day the were doing their gig... Amazingly only 8 or so people had gotten the same idea as we, and had arrived to camp in front of the gates...
The day went slowly, we ate, drank and banged our heads to the music of such gods as Slayer, and Metallica.....

We were excited very much indeed, and then the clock turned 17....

The doors opened and we ran thrilled with joy to the (snake) "pit" were we would now await the turn up off the first warm up act....

Lost Prophets went on and spilled their guts out on stage, I would describe their music as Westlife Sounding Pop shit..... Not worth my time... Thank god for only lettin thoose suckers play 30 minutes.....

Slipknot was much more of a thrill..... They played the intro song from the Slipknot cd and then kicked into (SIC), we banged our heads violently while receiving the blessing from down below... They played such songs as Heretic Anthem, Disasterpieces, People = Shit, Wait and Bleed, Pulse of the Maggots,..... Well I could go on, they even sang Surfacing calling it our anthem..... Corey and the Guys was very very cool, and the entire warm up act kicked ***.
I recall how my body was 30 cm. from stage as I launched my self half way over the fence in a violent jump/headbanging act.... When they were just about done Sid Wilson uncovered his shirt which said "Bevar Christania" which means "Keep Christania"......
Shawn Crahan passed me and as I touched/punched the artist on his arm he turned his head and backed off, very cool indeed.....

Then something happened. The lights went off. And a certain somethin' began playing.... "The Ectasy of Gold" and all to soon metallica went on stage and kicked into the monstrous blackened with such intensity....

Hetfield made us spell metallica, but before we were done he said "Give me fuel, give me fire..... (exc.) And then the scene exploded in fire... The band was so fucking hard, and Lars Ulrich pounded the s*** out of his drum kit... They were loud, insanely loud, but who cares... !!!!
They played such Classics as "The 4 Horsemen" "Master of Puppets" and "Fade to Black".....

Actually they played a whole lot of very very slow songs, which created the entire lighter feel.... It was so beautifull to se 37.000 lighters wave back and forth.......
Hetfield was very turned on and delivered a good performance.. I was anxious to see if Robert Trujilio would be as awesome a power as hes been in Ozzy's band And Black Label Soceity.....

And He Was... Because I was up front, I could almost touch the man.... And because I was in front of the microphone I could make eye contact with Hetfield who Smiled at me..... And was I happy...
Greatest of all was when the genious guitarist Hammet, dedicated 2 solos to my girlfriend who he pointed at, smiled at and blinked at.... Awesome......
"One" was a great experience, the entire scene exploded in glimpses of fire and lightning (Damn was it hot)
The show ended, as all things good do, with Seek and Destroy, it was here I used the last of my energy........ The entire pulse of the people was amazing, the crowd loved them....

And Metallica what need I say ? They kept the tension throughout the entire show, they never failed to entertain, even when the power for the instruments and microphones went off they kept a good feeling, joking around on stage... When the mic power was back Lars Ulrich asked "er der nogen der kan en vits...." (Anyone who knows a good joke)
They kicked ass, nothing more to be said, and my friggin' neck still hurts....

Hope you come back soon
