IMAAAAGINATION! =3

My favorite element about music is probably atmosphere. My mind is a lazy, albeit adventurous, asshole that likes to take vacations whenever it can. And what better than the surprise mental adventures that music takes you on? SHUT UP. SHUT UP. Nothing is better. Whether I'm whisked away on the wings of a dragon, sitting around a campfire with a group of vikings just before battle, wandering around a haunted castle, or floating around FUCKING SPACE, I love these adventures. Yes. Yes, I do. And here are my favorite albums that have incredible atmosphere for me to get lost in. (No particular order)

You've never heard of them? That album is a concept album about a fictional tale of Beethoven selling his soul to SAAAAATAAANNN to make the perfect, final Symphony. :3 If you're into power ballads and classical music a bit, you should dig it.

Pretty sure that Imaginations From The Other Side is legally required to be mentioned in any list about imagination.

Best. Episodes. EVER!

Suprised no Nocturnus' albums on here, but oh well a very nice list nonetheless.

Have you tried anything from Drudkh? I've only heard the first two albums, but they're incredibly atmospheric.

With regards to pure imagination stimulating melody and atmosphere, I think Equilibrium and Arkona should be up in this. I had them both in a playlist while I was asleep and hoooooooly shit, I was tripping balls in my dreams.. Imagine meeting a monolithic mechanical amalgam of a woman and a steam engine, whose tracks I can't even begin to describe, and then having her take you on a magical journey to party with your peeps in some city where everyone lives in medieval repunsel towers. When suddenly, epic drama breaks out! It's now a hyper dramatic murder mystery with a kick ass soundtrack.

While awake it is guaranteed to increase the intensity and excitement of whatever you're doing by ten fold.

Sounds

PRETTY

FUCKIN

INTENSE.

I really didn't get into Arkona until last year, but I certainly agree with you. Their music has a very strong atmosphere. If I made another similar list, they'd be on there for sure. c:
