Hybrid Theory FTW!

That and Meteora... Those are masterpieces.
I would have liked seeing them on Metal Storm to enjoy the 3.4 rating for Living Things

Meteora would've had an 8 rating and Hybrid Theory a 8.2, Minutes to Midnight a 7.1 and A Thousand Suns...probably a 5.6 or 6, not to mention the remixes.

I really like Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory, even today.
Also, they are a metal band and I don't say why they are not featured here.

Well, Troy blacklisted them in 2011, probably because at that date - A Thousand Suns-era - they didn't have anything metal anymore

Their debut is metal enough I think.

Sure. And Meteora is too. I'm saying that they were no longer metal when Troy blacklisted them, and I guess that was the reason because he did it. Let's admit it: their last two releases are far, far away from metal.
Anyway, I would have liked seeing them here too.

Indeed, and they will be the most hated band in the history of tMS

Hey hey hey, don't pin the blame entirely on me. Most bands on the blacklist (at least bigger names like Linkin Park) are decided by a group vote. And of course bands on the blacklist have been added to the database before, so it's not a death sentence.

Yeah I think Bring Me The Horizon was also blacklisted once.

Anyways, glad to see Rise Against on the list, that is a pretty boss band. Or at least used to be. Their first 4 albums are excellent.

Only 1 Chili Peppers? At least it's the best one.

For that I'd open up a topic to introduce Rise Against here. Sadly and hilariously, no one was interested to see that topic again.

I know, Alter Bridge being a recent example. I'm not "blaming" anyone, also because I don't know how the process of blacklisting goes on
If I were in that group vote, btw, I guess I'd have voted for blackilisting too, since Linkin Park's last releases are kinda rap-pop and surely not metal. I was just trying to explain why they're not here.
Anyway, I'm sure that if that poll had been made in 2004, LP would now be on MS. But that's history.

It's kinda sad that most of these bands are rock bands , I would like to see more Folk , Jazz , Trip-Hop...and even Pop. there was this other non-metal list that had Joanna Newsom on it , best artist I've ever found.

Well, I go outside rock expecially concerning Italian stuff:

Rap/Reggae:

Folk:

Also, I'm right now adding some other stuff I forgot in the first edit.

Hehe, I guess your hate is maily directed to bands as Green Day, Blink, SIMPLE PLAN, Sum 41, Black Eyed Peas, Eminem and such.
Well, we have really different tastes also in metal, so this was pretty foreseenable.
Pease, don't lose any trace of respect for me

Like I said their debut (and also their second album) were metal to me. It has been some 5 years since the last time I checked them but duno what's not metal about them.

Fair enough, it does sound metal, but more like nu metal which I don't like. And believe it or not, but Hybrid Theory was actually one of my favourite albums when it got released back in 2000, when I was in high school. So when I was around 14 I listened to those bands that you mention (yes, I even listened to Eminem ) and now I think they suck, even though I had a great time at high school (unlike many other people, in general). My taste just evolved quite a bit, so you're right in saying our taste in metal is also really different. Not saying your taste will evolve the same way, but seeing as you're quite a bit younger than me, it's possible you will enjoy the more extreme subgenres in metal when you get older. Btw, Queen is one of the most horrible artists here. Many people don't get it (even friends of mine), but I truly despise their music (yes, even the supposedly great Bohemian Rhapsody). Sigur Rós is one of the few here that I like, even though I'm not a fan at all.

Fair enough (again). I guess Hybrid Theory could be considered metal. It's been many, many years since I last heard that album (as I listened to it back in 2000) so I thought remembering it being rock-rap, but it actually sounds a bit like nu metal/rap to me.

Yeah, nu metal is what I would call it, and I actually like that album
Also, Eminem is boss
