THE METAL BIBLE Part II: The 80s

Welcome to what I consider the "1980s Metal Bible" or in other words, a list of records of various genres in the arrays of Metal and Hard Rock that I deem essential or at least very recommended to listeners of hard and heavy music. In this second part we conquer the mighty decade that many deem as the classic decade of Metal. This and the other parts of this journey through the decades may be a very overwhelming list. I essentially try to collect all albums in the History of Metal that strike me as worthwhile. May this be a guideline for people that seek for an entrance to a particular genre or certain bands. In no means I am saying, that this list is indisputable by any means. I consider these my personal picks for albums that should be listened to by die-hard metal fans at least once. Hopefully you can discover some new music or relate with my picks. If I missed something that you would include in such a list, please tell me in the form of a comment. Enjoy! \,,/

1.Tygers Of Pan Tang - Wild Cat
2.Krokus - Metal Rendez-Vous
3.Witchfynde - Give 'Em Hell
4.Angel Witch - Angel Witch
5.Ozzy Osbourne - Blizzard Of Ozz

Song Titles With The Band`s Name

It is not uncommon that album titles are chosen after the band`s name. However, song titles that include or are identical to the band`s name are relatively seldom found.
This is a list of song titles with the (entire) band name / band names after (their own) song titles.

Please feel free to suggest further titles/bands.

The Best Metal Albums* From A To # (R)

This list is meant to be an extensive, but by no means exhaustive, collection of the greatest (modern) metal albums and eps. Running the gamut from avant-garde to trve norweigan black metal. *As someone who is young in age, my tastes tend to revolve around the period of the 80s to the present.* Although certain metal albums from before will certainly be featured, the period of the 60s-70s will be under-represented. I refer you to this excellent list to gain a better appreciation for some of the best metal from that period: https://rateyourmusic.com/list/freis/martin_popoffs_the_top_500_heavy_metal_albums_of_all_time/

1.Racer X - Technical Difficulties
2.Radiance (FIN) - The Burning Sun
3.Ragana - You Take Nothing
4.Rage - Black In Mind
5.Rage Against The Machine - Rage Against The Machine

The Worst "Popular" Metal Albums

I realize the importance of these albums to the genres, and the influence they have had. however I do not find these albums really that great and pleasurable due to the competition and elimination through these decades of musical evolution. I respect these bands for releasing something so creative, conceptual and also brought us to the new dimension in the past.

1.Atheist - Unquestionable Presence
2.Amorphis - Tales From The Thousand Lakes
3.Amon Amarth - Twilight Of The Thunder God
4.Accept - Restless And Wild
5.Accept - Balls To The Wall

2.Austrian Death Machine - Total Brutal
3.Clutch - Pure Rock Fury
4.Devin Townsend - Addicted

1.Repulsion - Horrified
