2018 - The Good, the Bad and the Ugly For most of 2018 so far I haven't had neither much time nor interest in catching up with the latest album releases. There are some exceptions though so I thought I might as well list them. I haven't gone as much out of my comfort zone compared to my previous lists which is very much reflected in the overall ratings.

Karlabos' 2018 Finds Everything I find worthy found of (but not necessarily in) 2018.
I'm not an eclectic person. I listen to extreme metal, underground pop, electronic music and weird stuff. Even better if it's lo-fi weird stuff. Don't expect to find much out of that line here. List in constant progress Enjoy... Or not

Kai's Most Anticipated Releases Of 2018 **DISCLAIMER: This list is based on my own opinion and musical taste, and should not be taken otherwise.
- Self-explainatory list that's used mostly for personal reminders of upcoming releases. Your recommandations & suggestions are welcome! :-) - I think it won't be a surprise if I say that my favorite album of 2018 was: AMORPHIS - Queen Of Time !!!

Women of Doom Doom is my favorite sub genre of metal. One of the main reason being is the sheer diversity it offers, not only in terms of styles but also vocally. Female vocalists are no exception and that is what I want to highlight with this list. The few criteria I have set is that it obviously has to be doom metal of some sort and that it vocally is either sole female vocals or at least for the majority of an albums duration, i.e no "beauty and the beast"-style bands.
New bands are of course constantly forming so this is by no means a complete list. Feel free to suggest bands that might be missing. Enjoy! \m/

Os Lusíadas: portuguese heavy metal Back in the 2nd half of the 70's and beginning of the 80's, Heavy Metal wasn't a common expression amongst the portuguese. Portugal had just discovered that there was a real world behind the invisible wall built by the dictatorship that had fallen a few years earlier.
"Beatnicks", "Aqui De'l Rock", or "TNT" were some of the bands who had been releasing some singles and EP's of Hard-Rock at the very beginning of the 80's. They paved the rising of other bands that would work that sound, and release the first studio albums of Hard-Rock and Heavy Metal. It was a critical decade for heavy rock in Portugal. This chronologic list of studio albums features the ones, that I believe, are the most important portuguese Hard-Rock and metal albums until today: the best and the pioneering ones. I excluded Punk-Rock but added Hardcore and Alternative Hard-Rock albums as well. Either you're interested in portuguese music, or if you're just curious about it, or even if you are just passing by, this list will work out for you all. This list will grow bigger as the years go by of course, so if you have any suggestions, just let me know. Enjoy!
