Yet Another Useless Folking List This is a list of all the folk metal albums I have listened to that I found to be of at least marginal quality. It is purely for my own organizational purposes and is not meant to be a definitive statement about the genre; for that reason, there are some entries that don't entirely fit the description, including some neofolk albums and bands that don't exactly play "folk metal" but are close enough.

All Metal Of All Time Top 300: Albums An entirely subjective list of my all-time favourite metal albums, well lets better say albums/genres featured on MS, since not all here is precisely metal.
Objective quality is not a criteria here, just how much I like the album. Ordered by preference, top down.

~ My Favorite Black Metal Records ~ Yeah... a very conventional idea for a list, but i couldn't resist in the end finally making this one.
A list of my personal favorites from the blackest metal of them all. Ordered by personal preferences and updated periodically with only one album/ep/demo per band. Please enjoy, you might also find some of your likings in here. ^^ ...and if not, it can't be helped.

50 Best Of The 00's.....for Me Anyway! I think the title is self explanitory. Not in order of preference as it would change daily and I can't be arsed changing it around all the time!:) it's a bit of a mixture of all the stuff I like so I'm reasonably sure alot of the picks won't be everyones cup of piss.

Promo's Picks Of The Passing Decade Actually I wanted to write a blog as several of my colleagues, but now that we have this nifty new feature there's no reason to bother with formatting all the pics and stuff
So this was it. The decade which saw me turning into a metalhead. Actually I've been listening to metal since 17 years now, but not on a regular basis. This changed (to the better) when I joined this site in the good old days of MSR. Agalloch, Anathema and Tristania got me used to growls, Immortal and Agathodaimon to extreme metal as a whole and soon enough I was hooked to the vast plethora of styles which are to be found in heavy metal. The following list presents my personal top 50 of this decade. The order isn't really set in stone, neither is my musical taste, but at least the top 10 are somewhat fixed. Especially the 2009 releases, of which none made it into my top 25, might not stand the test of time. And please don't message me because you disagree with some of the genres, they are neither there to be discussed nor to educate, but to give an impression what the bands sound like. If you have about the same (broad) taste as I have, but aren't familiar with some of these releases, try to get your hands on them. You won't regret it
