I listened this, good trunes, melodies, but somehow post metal tag would fit here as well IMO.

This is really, really, really good. I am impressed, significant parts of it are barely metal and the melodies are so beautiful. Brilliant stuff and quite original too.

Somehow I got confused with this band and Turisas. This is good melodeath, very emotive and melodic album albeit slightly boring. The guitar work as well as the melody in the latter part of the album is quite good.

I didn't know this came out till today, on first listen this album is amazing! I feel like they recaptured what made Circadian Rhythm(to me) such a special album on this release. Production ffeels a tad weird on my system, but I love the songs, not a single bad one here imo. Second half of the album just flows with no stops, absolutely love it! Before I knew it I was on the last track. Def worth a listen!

Some beautiful melodies hindered by awkward transitions. Difficult to tell why they even approached this in the style they did as it seems they're unable to find the sweet spot of metal and non-metal structuring. I mean it makes sense as a logical step in their development but at the same time could/should have been an entirely separate entity releasing this.
An interesting release that would have worked a lot better had the entire foundation been built upon something like a progressive-leaning indie rock style and ditched all aspects of extremity. A psychedelic undertone with an emphasis on slap bass would have really worked well with this style of clean vocals as well.
