Talk about a fall from grace. How do you go from "Prophecies in Blood" to crap like "Architects of Hate"?

Totally agree.
This band was fantastic up until 'Engraved In Black'. I proudly own original copies of all their albums up until this point but wouldn't touch the newer stuff with a barge pole I wish they'd go back to this style & standard, but i've long since given up hope.

One of the few albums I'll forever love

Wonderful album. Despite the fact that their debut was my introduction to Graveworm, I think this one is superior for sure.
Not to mention the album cover art is amazing.

Certainly more creative and consistent than the band's debut in my opinion. The songwriting is more mature and the line between symphonic elements and black metal influences doesn't seem so blurred as it was on the previous album, though there are still a few songs here which provide more filler material more than outstanding impression. I have to say though, opener "A Dreaming Beauty" and "Prophecies in Blood" are quite incredible.
