This was originally released as the deluxe CD of Mabool: The Story Of The Three Sons Of Seven and contains a portion of the acoustic concert they played in 2002 following their hiatus from 1997. It was re-released as part of the band's 30 Years Of Oriental - Anniversary Album Collection boxset in 2021, and then released as this EP independently in 2022, 20 years after it was recorded. The concert was named The Calm Before The Flood, after one of the tracks from Mabool, and to foreshadow its release. At that concert, all attendees received an EP entitled The Calm Before The Flood, which contains different recordings than this EP, and was named after the concert, as was this EP; however both that EP and this one should not be confused with each other.
