Everyone has an opinion where Cradle Of Filth are concerned, but none can argue against what they have done for the British extreme metal scene over the years. If you have never liked Cradle Of Filth, the band's newest offering grandly titled "Godspeed On The Devil's Thunder" shall not change your opinion, but what this album is, is a glorious return to up-tempo, crushing tracks delivered with conviction. The band's last couple of albums were as commercial as a band like Cradle Of Filth can take things and because of this softening around the edges, they inevitably pushed some fans away.

Hmm, not as good as some people making it out to be in my opinion. The guitar work as always is stellar, but with the excessive use of symphonics and narrative work, it all seems a bit too 'full'. I mean that in the way that it is just too long, too epic and too grandiose for its own good.Nonetheless, the concept is brought about and carried over to the interest of the listener in a very good way indeed. That is what COF have always excelled at anyway.

Really like this album (Particularly because of the narrative work)!
