Fantastic album, draws you deep into the darkness ... don't really get why this is labelled as ambient acoustic rock, though

This is excellent mix between BM whit some melodies and avantgarde metal. If Arcrurus and Vulture Industries would play like this it would be an awesome. I like it, its amazing and somehow they knew it will do the trick. My fav still is their debut but follower and this is close.

For me the debut is a bit too raw .. the follow up is a fantastic piece of black metal with an experimental twist .. but 'Her von Welken Nächten' is where in my opinion they really stood out. It has a black metal touch, but it is so different on so many levels and so creative

Yes indeed, this is neither acoustic rock nor ambient, they would go down this alley only from the succeeding album onwards.
This here still is in their melodic black footsteps.

Fixed. Sometimes genre tags get screwed up with how it's automated when you add styles to the band page for certain years, hence the need for manually editing albums
