Martyr is a band you could say I'm fairly new to. I've only know them for about six months now. "Warp Zone" was the first album of theirs I heard. A good introduction to say the least.

Here on Metal Storm, Martyr is labelled as Technical Death Metal. One listen through one of their albums quickly shows why. These guys are top-notch musicians. Every member plays his part extremely well, and that's quite a feat considering the difficulty of their music. The songs tend to shift tempo from moderate to fast, and never become a bore. Each instrument is clear and balances well with the others.

8.5/10 leaning slightly towards an 8 for me. Not quite as good as the following album.

Again, as with the debut, this is great, if not for the vocals.
