The phrase "Japanese System Of A Down" roughly summarizes much of the Maximum The Hormone philosophy. In fact, the phrase "this band is Japanese" goes a long way in explaining their rapid-fire style shifts, diverse array of influences, and general elasticity. Leaving the description at that, however, would be to deny the unique veins of genius and inspiration that cartwheel through the chaos.

I'm watching Death Note (the 2006 animated series) right now (an incredible series, for which I ask no spoilers please!) and came across this band because "What's Up, People?!" is the opening theme after the 20th episode. Was at first jarring, but now I'm getting used to it

Have fun with Death Note! I think that's how a lot of us discovered Maximum The Hormone. They've also made an ending for the currently airing Chainsaw Man anime, which I very much recommend watching.

In the newest chapter (#137) of the Chainsaw Man manga, someone was singing "Chu Chu Lovely Muni Muni Mura Mura Purin Purin Boron Nururu Rero Rero" while another character was fighting dozens of guys in a hallway with a baseball bat.
