La Muerta, Bells of Lyonesse and Even Though The Stars Don't Shine are really good songs, but the rest are average.

Good album though.

Second best Subsignal album in my books. Only the debut outranks this one for me.

I'd need to revisit Paraiso and The Beacons... to see how this compares to that, but I think it might be a bit of a step up. However, I think they're missing the occasional heaviness they had on earlier efforts here, all the music and vocals are nice and picturesque, but it lacks a bit of presence to it. Still don't think they've come close to matching Touchstones since it came out, what a brilliant album that is

Learning To "X"
Definitely not a bad album, a 7-7.5ish album from Subsignal still draws me in and has those shining moments, but I agree it's a step back for my taste as well.
