This is some major yikes. I remember the last one being tolerable cheese, but I couldnt finish this one. These guys need to calm down

Probably their weakest effort, but still enjoyable

A pretty good album overall! I enjoy it more than their first effort at least, though I don't think it approaches Space 1992.

The cheese is strong with this one 🤘
Went into this one expecting album of the year which was a huge mistake, for me it's not quite as good as Space 1992 but still a solid one.
It's a f*****g great record to have playing in the background though, especially when the speaky parts comes up

I completely disagree, Gloryhammer deliberately goes for cheese and so should not be taken so seriously...

The music here is actually awesome and some of the best power metal I've heard in years!

The production seems really off. The keyboards are buried in the mix and it's sad. The vocal melodies also seem like they needed another pass.

I know they go for maximum cheese, but this one wasnt for me, just it.

My first initial thoughts are they tried very hard to make this one as epic as the previous album, and ended up overcooking the cheese, to the point the edges became a bit burnt. Their previous album got away with the cheesiness, but I think Space 1992 had more epic parts in it overall. This hasn't got quite as many highs but it's still a good follow up.

So, the album notes claim they're gonna make 21 albums? Any chance they'll even get close?

At first it didn't seem an improvement over the excellent Space 1992, but after a few spins it really did grow on me.

Good to listen to but too cheesy for me; again that's because I don't really like power...
The concert was really fun tho

I was surprised that it's really good. I thought on their 3rd album, they will start repeating themselves and that their style will start to be boring. But surprise surprise, it's really good. A solid 8 and might upgrade to 9 if some songs grow on me. I listened to the whole thing a few times already and I'm constantly playing it. So far, fav. songs: "The Land Of Unicorns", " Power Of The Laser Dragon Fire", "Legendary Enchanted Jetpack". "Battle For Eternity" is really cool as well and the last track is long and really good as well. Need to listen to it again.

Saw this recommended on FB and YT by people saying stuff like: "This is what happens when hardcore D&D players decide to form a band", so I had to check it out.

I am afraid this campaign isn't particularly engaging though. The band's songwriting check is a decent 9 after a roll of 1d20, but their originality roll is a natural fucking 1 crit fail. These dungeon master's haven't crafted a particularly engaging musical journey here... in fact it is barely decent enough for me to get through without becoming a murder hobo.

I am sure a lot of power metal fans will find this exactly the kind of cheesy goodness they're looking for though, so more power to them and to the band, I guess.

I love power metal. However not the overly pompous unicorn and dragon stuff. Gloryhammer, while they fit in to that category, they still manage to have a more laid-back approach to it all. Atleast musically. Which makes this pretty enjoyable all the way through. It's not any masterpiece but it's a fun ride with some great songs thrown in there (Gloryhammer, Master of the Galaxy for example). Solid 7.
