As I had always considered myself a guitarist (I started playing the guitar when I was 14), it was rather surprising when I was asked to fill in for Amoral's current vocalist, who was unable to come to their first show in 2002. I went to same high school with Silver and met the other guys through him eventually, and it turned out that the guys had heard me singing along Pantera at some party. As I had always been eager to try out switching to the mic, I was glad to agree.
For some reason I began with growling even though I've always thought that guys like Phil Anselmo, Mike Muir and Layne Staley were the coolest frontmen alive. I guess the reason why I didn't pay attention to this in the beginning was because for me, aside from singing, one of the coolest things of being a vocalist is the ability to move a lot. So whatever noise I made was ok for me, as long as I could jump around like madman. Well, not more than just a while ago I realized it would be cool to evolve as a vocalist so I've taken some vocal lessons since. Other vocalists I find inspiring include Devin Townsend, Mike Patton and John K, as well as David Vincent and Peter Tägtgren.
When not doing Amoral related stuff I spend a lot of time among other musical activities such as playing the guitar, making electronic music, going to concerts, etc. I also like watching movies and hanging around with my friends. However, sometimes I'm having a blast just doing nothing, it's la-la-la-lovely...
