I understand corrupt. India is swayed with UPI(Unified Payments Interface) integrated on payment apps like Google Pay. Even if you buy a stuff for 10 bucks, you make digital payment.

I prefer money I can see and feel

Apple and Google Pay work without needing a connection, fortunately. What happens here quite often is that payment terminals fail so sometimes you're in a restaurant or bar and cannot pay your bill.

One of the major phone services went down a few months ago. for an entire day, people using optus couldn't use cashless payments

Obviously payment methods shouldn't be discriminated against and there are a lot of good arguments pro cash, but I'm really happy without it.

I've been living a completely cashless life since Google Pay was released. Wouldn't go back. Germany isn't fully there yet, especially restaurants and bars, but we're getting there.
