Born in the sixties I started to touch music biz singing and playing guitar beginning of the 80-ies with german based melodic metal band ´mad max´.
Three albums on roadrunner records and numerous tourdates through europe with the likes of ´pretty maids, stryper, yngwie malmsteen,...´ manifested my rock veins.
End of the decade I got a offer to join german´s finest hard rock band ´bonfire´ to support them on their upcoming european as guitarist.
After a successful tour and a live album I finally got a chance to team up with producer ´henry staroste´ (warlock,doro), and signed a deal with warner music (wea) with my new band ´casanova´.
Simultaneously I got signed to my alltime fave publisher bmg/ufa via hartwig masuch.
I still work for bmg/ufa and run a own edition.
midst of the nineties to improve my skills I went to los angeles to share forces with wonderful songwriters with credits like:
shania twain, susanna hoffs (bangles), the eels, jean beauvoir, russ ballard, ken tamplin (kiss), belinda carlisle.
When grunge came up ´93 I quit the casanova group after three albums and got to work with ´andi broon´ (ex-sisters of mercy).
From now on I concentrated more on songwriting and producing that led me direct into my wonderful studio that I franchised the ´jovelstudio´by ´steffi stephan´ (udo lindenberg).
Here is my world where I can relax and build up musical castles.
