Biography

Diesense was formed in 2002 by Teemu, Timo and Mikael (Mäntykangas). They had played together in their former band called Dreamfall which was something like melodic death-metal with some power-metal influences. The music turned more and more to power-metal and after a few member changes the name of the band was changed to Diesense. The former drummer Jarkko Seppälä joined the Diesense soon and we also asked Kimmo to sing to the first demo called Mind-Bending Mind, which was released in the beginning of 2003.

Mikael Nurmi joined the band in the summer 2004.

In the summer 2006 Jarkko left the band due to his busies with other bands/projects and Anssi Kaunismäki took his place.

In summer 2007 Diesense decided to continue without clean vocals of Kimmo Perämäki. Teemu took the place of vocalist.

In autumn 2007 Mikael Nurmi was replaced by Tuomas Laasanen.

At spring 2008 Diesense released "Next Dimension", which included a new track "Next Dimension" and some of the older songs as re-recorded new versions.

The music style of Diesense is based on melodic-metal, but we have avoided stereotypes of basic melodic-style and that's why influences of other music styles can be also heard. The songs mostly have a great tempo and they're based on melodies. All that has been balanced by heavy rhythm guitars.
