Rising from the ashes of DC punk rock phenoms the Spastic Rats, Ironchrist ripped up and down the Eastern US from the late 1980s into the early 1990s, bringing their own unique brand of crossover punk metal to ravenous audiences. As one of the pioneers of extreme crossover music, Ironchrist left their mark on both the speed metal and hardcore punk history books, selling more than 30,000 albums, cassettes and CDs worldwide before fully disbanding in 1992.

In 2011, Divebomb Records announced they were re-releasing the Bands self-titled debut EP as well as their full length effort, Getting The Most Out of Your Extinction for the next generation of hardcore speed metal mavens.
