Biography
X-Empire has been created in 2012 by Michel Marcos (Vocals), Rogerio Oliveira (Guitar) and Raphael Jorge (Drums) in Sao Paulo, Brasil. In the beginning "X-Empire" was a side project simply called "X", but after work on some new material all members dicide to move on as a band. So, out debut "EP" called "End Of Times" will show to all metal fans, how X-Empire works as a band. This is a new era for the Modern Metal, when the style meets some new elements. From the inspired minds of great musicians writing their debut album, comes an overdose of head-banging riffs, rich textures, untraditional arrangements, and involving lyrics.
The project was born in 2012 brainchild of two musicians/producers, Michel Marcos (owner of M&H Studio) and Rogério Oliveira (owner of Flight Studio).
Initially the idea was to work together to show the production level of both studios regarding heavy music. The result was the single "Fallen" with appearances of Raphael Jorge (Heptah) on drums and Diego Blumer on bass. Guitars and additional vocals were on account of Rogério himself and lead vocals by Michel.
Due to good results, what was supposed to be just a single demonstration turned into a project and later a solid band that was named X-EMPIRE.
With the planning done, X-Empire entered the stage of defining the line-up for the recording of the songs for the EP "End Of Times": Michel Marcos (Vocals), Rogério Oliveira (guitars and backing vocals), Felipe Gabriel (ChimeraH/bass) and Raphael Jorge (HeptaH/drums).
The band follows a modern concept in compositions, but without losing the essence of traditional metal with striking and musical refrains. In addition to lyrics that reflect the current state of humankind, the interior of each being, where the world is coming as a result of actions of humanity itself.
Late in 2013 the band produced and released a new concept in Lyric Video, the Cinematic Lyric Video. This time the song chosen was the heavy ballad "No Answers" with a great public acceptance.
The release of the EP "End Of Times" was on May 1st 2014, and features the digital distribution of one of the major branch companies in the world, CD Baby.
With the EP in the disclosure process the band is preparing to enter in pre-production process of the first album yet in the year 2014, where the musical elements of X-Empire will be explored even further.
