Demise - Biography

Biography

Demise was formed in early 1995 by L. Rambo (drums) and Sin (guitar). After a few months they were joined by Ozz (guitar & vocals) and Kons (bass). In this line-up the band started to work on their music and style. In August of '96, Demise recorded their first demo entitled "Outcome of.....". Professional sound, aggressive melodic songs and a huge portion of emotions - all this in a black/death metal style. The demo was published by Immortal Records at the beginning of '97 and received great reviews in the underground scene around Europe. To support this release, the band gave several shows in Poland, including small gigs as well as appearances at large festivals. Their first full-length album entitled "Like a Thorn" was released by Metal Mind Productions in September 1997. This material showed the great potential of Demise. Many magazines labeled "Like a Thorn" the "album of the year". Live shows followed soon after. Demise has performed with bands like Vader, Dark Funeral, Gardenian, Hate, Christ Agony, Decapitated, Lux Occulta, Yattering and many more. At this time L. Rambo joined the band Moon and recorded "Satan's Wept" album on Pagan/Impact Records. Soon after that, the first line-up change occurred. B-Low became the new Demise bass player. In December 1999, the band recorded a follow-up to the debut album. "God Insect" was released by Koch International/Demonic. After playing numerous shows, the band faced problems with the manager and label. They were not able to support the band, as it comes to both promotion and distribution of "God Insect". On September 11, 2001 Demise recorded a two-song promo CD which was a starting point for their third recording.
