Cautiva is a musical project of progressive, technical and extreme thrash metal in which the composer, José Travieso, performs all the instruments (guitars, bass and drums programming) as much as vocals. The Cautiva "band" is presented as an experiment of self-proficiency facing the actual technologies: José Travieso not only records all the instruments and vocals (except for sporadic guest interventions), but writes all the music and lyrics too, doing by himself the production, engineering and mixing. Cautiva is just a man at home coping with the usual activities of a whole thrash metal band in a studio recording, nothing more, nothing less. Speaking about Cautiva is speaking about José Travieso. Human, his debut, was released in June 2009 which was met with critical acclaim from the underground.
