Biography

Tony Delgado initiates this project prematurely in 1996, but it is not until 2002 that the group begins to shoot as such. That year they record their first demo and begin to give their first concerts.

In March 2004, they published a second demo with 12 tracks Dünedain, of which more than 900 copies are distributed, despite not having distribution in stores.

In September of 2005, they sign a record contract with the company Pies Records. After a year without activity, the contract is broken bilaterally and Dünedain launches into self-production.

In 2007, Dünedain released the album La Luz De Mi Oscuridad. This disc, of 11 tracks, incorporates five re-recorded tracks of its previous demo (2004) and six new ones. It was mixed by Karlos Creator, edited in 2008 by the record label Akeloo and distributed by Avispa throughout Spain. The disc is presented in a small tour that crosses several cities (Madrid, Zaragoza, Salamanca, Lugo, Burgos, Barakaldo ...).

In 2009, Dünedain returns with a new self-published album, Buscando El Norte I, recorded at the Rock Studios of Karlos Creator. It contains six tracks that constitute the first part of a work thought of in two parts. Dünedain presents this album in a tour of ten dates in which they give away this CD with the tickets of the concerts. The tour and the disc was very well received by the critics and the public.
At the end of 2009, Dünedain published Buscando El Norte II: La Tierra De Los Sueños. It is the second part of the project "Buscando El Norte" and brings seven new songs. For their recording they have Karlos Creator again.
Buscando El Norte II was received with great success by public and critics. Proof of this is the tour of more than 14 dates they did to present this work throughout Spain.

In October 2010, Dünedain began a tour with the heavy metal group Zenobia, after having met at the Soul Of Metal Festival 2010. Both groups released the single Unidos Por El Metal which would be the official anthem of the tour. The United For Metal tour will tour a total of 17 cities in Spain. The tour is dismissed at the presentation party of the Rock Legends Festival 2011.
In December 2010, as a culmination to the project "Buscando El Norte", Dünedain published a special edition CD, which brings together the two parts of "Buscando El Norte" in one CD, plus an extra song recorded for the occasion. They also accompany the first run with a DVD that collects their video clips, an interview with Tony, part of the performance they gave in Madrid in March 2010 and some extras.

In mid-2011 and for a few months, Dünedain tried to work as a quintet integrating José Rubio as a solo guitarist. Due to the problems of arranging agendas, José Rubio is separated from the band without having come to give any concert as a quintet.
In December 2011, Dünedain and Zenobia released the DVD Unidos Por El Metal En Concierto through the Yarhibol Records label. The DVD includes the concert that both bands offered at the Soul Of Metal Festival, in Miranda de Ebro (Burgos).

In January 2012, they published Mágica, a self-published LP with 10 new songs. It is recorded at the Sonovision Rock Lab, with production by Dan Díez. On the album, Pablo García of WarCry participates as a guest.
During 2012, Dünedain presented their album Mágica on their third national tour, called Tour De La Rabia. During the tour they participate in the two most important heavy metal festivals of the summer: Costa De Fuego and Legends Of Rock.

In mid-2013 Dünedain are finalists in the Independent Music Awards, in the category of "Best Metal Album" for Mágica.

In August 2013, after the performance at the Rock Legends Festival, Jacin (bass and second voice) decides to leave the band for personal reasons. This hard setback will not change the band's plans and, at the end of September, Dünedain self-publishes a new song, the single 1000 Golpes. It was recorded in July, along with producer Dan Díez, in his studies in Logroño.

In 2014 they begin the tour 1000 Blows, in which they are accompanied, as bassist and second voice, Jesus Izko who will assume the role that Jacin played previously.
While they continue with the tour, which includes 15 dates, in September 2014 they self-released the single Melancolía which, like 1000 Golpes, is produced by Dan Díez and published exclusively in digital format.

In March 2015, Dünedain announced the incorporation of Carlos Sanz (Nano) as second principal voice of Dünedain. From this moment, Tony and Carlos share the main voices and choirs of the songs, getting a pair of great quality. To present Carlos, they re-recorded their classic song "Por Los Centuries De Los Siglos", with Dan Díez's production.

In the summer of 2016, Dünedain recorded their fourth studio LP, entitled Pandemonium. It is the first record recorded as a quintet, and is again mixed and mastered by Dan Díez, at Rock Lab Studios. To present this album, they begin a tour of more than 20 dates ending in December 2018. During this tour, Alberto Pérez joins the band as a live bass player, finally becoming an official member of the quintet.

In April of 2018, they participate in the official Mägo De Oz tribute album, Stay Oz: Hasta Que El Cuerpo Aguante, published by Songs Of Evil. The song chosen to make a version is "Melodian", in which Dünedain makes clear his power metal style. It was recorded at Dan Díez's Rock Studios.

In June 2019, they released their fifth LP, entitled Memento Mori. Once again mixed and mastered by Dan Díez, at Rock Lab Studios.
