Biography

The band comes together in the beginning of 2001, because of the will of Alessio Previde Massara (bass guitar), Federico Lino (guitars), Filippo Dendena (guitars) and Rodolfo Rolando (drums). The quartet had already been played in various local underground bands in the past, and they immediately begin searching for a vocalist to complete the lineup. The band wrote four songs with Claudio Passeri (Summoner, Gory Blister) and in April 2002 they record their first demo in their own project studio. At the end of May mixing and mastering work is completed at Massive Arts Studios in Milan, and on th 8th of June "Endternity" is released. During autumn, the band starts gigging in many venues of northern Italy promoting their cd.

The band then commits full time to playing live after the arrival of the new lead singer Spartaco "Sid" Caliò, who has a deeper and full-bodied voice, and during this period they will share the stage with excellent italian underground band, such as Illogicist, Dying Awkward Angel, Methedras and Death Dies; in June 2003 the band performs at the "Italian Metal Gods" festival in Milan.

After the live sessions the band heads back to the studio to continue writing music. Sid decides to commit to an independent project and Apeiron start experimenting on a new kind of lineup, featuring two vocalists: Alessio and Filippo study growl and scream techniques, modifying the structure and the rhythm of the vocal lines to fit them in their riffs. The result is shown in The Cruel Crime, a self-produced EP mixed and mastered again at Massive Arts Studios, which obtains good impression both from listeners and from the press, great reviews in Italy and abroad, and also the nominee for best new metal band in 2008 by the webzine Truemetal.it.

With the first LP the band makes a quality leap: in fact, they sign a contract with the label Last Scream Records, already known for having in its roster legendary Italian metal bands such as Alligator, Agonizer and Kaoslord. Meanwhile, they complete the recording of a whole album at their own Ironape Project Studio with guest appearances from Gianluca Melino (Alligator) and Diego Cavallotti (Within Your Pain). The tracks are then delivered the caring and skillful hands of Simone Mularoni (EmpYrios, DGM, The Modern Age Slavery, Gory Blister) at Fear Studios for mixing, and is then mastered by Alessandro Vanara in Turin. Among The lost, the first full length, comes to life, and is officially released on November 6th 2009.
