The idea of the self-concious progressive, groove oriented Heavy Metal-band Chronus was born in mid 2012, when childhood friends Sebastian Axelsson, Frederik Søndergaard and Svante Furevi decided to start writing music together. The need of a drummer led to Sebastian meeting the day-dreaming drummer Martin Sjölund at a party. After a jam session consisting of a few Metallica classics, Martin became part of Chronus. Standing in the shadow of a couple of demos that had been produced somewhat successfully, the band felt the urge to record a four-track EP ( Lost At Sea ), to better define their sound. After a laborious period of six months time, the EP was finished, and ready for release in a digital format in the summer of 2014 (July). With their first EP released, Chronus are now looking out at the world with hungry eyes.
