Klaus Meine is a good friend of Israeli singer Liel Kolet. In August 2006 they organized a music event in Israel in order to fund aid for the children residing in shelters in northern Israel due to the conflict with Hezbollah.
"Rock You Like A Hurricane" is played before the start of Carolina Hurricanes hockey games as the team takes the ice. The song is also is the unofficial spirit song of the University of Miami's football team "The Hurricanes", which is played at every football game. "Rock You Like A Hurricane" is also used in one of the episodes of The Simpsons. In the episode Sideshow Bob's Last Gleaming, The Simpsons attend an air show and the song gets played as the planes fly over their heads.
In the film Little Nicky, the song "Rock You like A Hurricane" was played after Nicky (Adam Sandler) said to his mother, "I'm gonna rock that place like a hurricane!"
Contrary to common usage, the band's name is "Scorpions" and not "The Scorpions."
"In Trance" was covered by Fates Warning as a hidden track on the Japanese version of their 1998 live album Still Life.
On the back cover of the original pressings of Scorpions' first four albums, a telephone number is listed as "Scorpions' telephone". The telephone number was to Rudolph Schenker's home telephone. He answered the phone in English: "Hello, Scorpions".
