The name Celldweller was derived from a nickname his mom gave him when he was a teenager, dubbed "Cellar Dweller", as he made all of his music in his parents cellar.

On every Celldweller CD there is a sentence: "Unauthorized reproduction of this recording is strictly prohibited by federal law, but that probably won't stop you anyway."
