Key songwriter and lead guitar player Jon Levasseur officially stated that he left the band in January of 2005. He obviously left a few months before, since guitarist Dan Mongrain was already filling in his spot at the November 2004 Trois-Rivières Metalfest IV show is on the DVD. |

Lord Worm left the band in 1997 to become an English teacher, more specifically to teach it as a second language to adults, but returned in November of 2003. However, he left Cryptopsy again in April 2007 for health reasons. |
