Thrashers Death Angel continue to promote their new album, The Evil Divide, and have shared another new song online from it. While previously they offered us "The Moth", now it's "Hatred United, United Hate". Watch here the video for this track. The song features a ripping solo by Andreas Kisser of Sepultura.
More battles in court! Prospect Park Records has thrown a punch. Five Finger Death Punch are being sued by the label claiming that they failed to record a greatest hits album and a new record, according to Courthouse News Service. A record producer claims, among other things, that three members of the band are "shamelessly attempting to cash in before the anticipated downfall of their addicted bandmate."
After more than two decades, thrashers Demolition Hammer are back and will be doing some shows. In fact, their two shows at St. Vitus sold out, in under 3 minutes. However, fans will also be able to witness the band playing live again at 2016 Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore. They will be playing on Sunday, May 29th at Edison Lot.

After returning from hiatus in 2014, Atreyu released a new album last year called Long Live. However, on their next tour they are going back to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the record A Death-Grip On Yesterday this May. They will embark on a tour with support from Islander and Sworn In. The U.S. metallers will play the entire album on these dates.
Relapse Records has announced the final chapter in the comprehensive Death reissue series: the legendary 1987 debut Scream Bloody Gore. The album is due out on a wide variety of formats this coming May 20th and has been newly remastered for this reissue. Like the preceding Death reissues, the deluxe reissue of Scream Bloody Gore has been meticulously remastered from the original tapes by Alan Douches (Death, Mastodon, Nile) and includes a plethora of bonus content, including previously unreleased recordings and rehearsal demos, super-expanded packaging, and brand-new extensive liner notes from former Death drummer/Autopsy founder Chris Reifert, Sepultura's Max Cavalera, and original Scream Bloody Gore producer Randy Burns.
After entering the studio at the end of last year, the Bay Area thrashers Death Angel have shared more news regarding their new album. Swedish black/death metal hybrids Autumn: Death have announced that the band is currently holed up in the studio recording an album, which will be their debut after the Autumn Death EP. All the songs are finished for the album, now it's only a matter of recording all of it. You can follow the album's progress on their Facebook page.
The Portland-based duo Death Fetishist, fronted by Matron Thorn, has inked a record deal with Debemur Morti Productions. Said label will be releasing the band's upcoming debut full-length effort, on which the band is already working hard. More details will follow in the near future. Last year, it was reported that Dream Death were working on a new album to follow Somnium Excessum. Having completed that process, the death/doom/thrash combo unit is now releasing Dissemination. Motörhead's frontman Lemmy Kilmister died from prostate cancer, congestive heart failure and cardiac arrhythmia, according to his death certificate. It was widely reported he battled an aggressive form of cancer before his death, but it has now been confirmed by TMZ that it was prostate cancer.
One-woman black metal project Myrkur always seems to generate a lot of discussions, maybe because she is a woman in a predominantly male dominated genre, maybe because she gets a lot of attention. Whatever the cause may be, things has been taken too far now as Myrkur, aka Amalie Bruun, has posted online about getting tired of receiving death threats via Facebook. Bruun doesn't blame the metal community as a whole but points out that those threats and messages are coming mostly from American men and occasionally Eastern European.
The California Deathfest is coming back for its second edition next year. You can mark your calendars for October 14th-16th, 2016. The California Deathfest II will take place at the Oakland Metro Operahouse and to get things started, the first bands have now been announced. The batch includes The Ruins Of Beverast, Angelcorpse, Demilich, Revenge, and more.
Melvins and Napalm Death will join forces for the Savage Imperial Death March Tour that kicks off on March 26th, 2016 at The Marquee in Phoenix, Arizona. According to Melvins' Facebook page, Melt Banana is the band that will open for them on this forthcoming North American trek.
Australian death/doom act The Slow Death is working on a new release, shortly after their latest record Ark was released in March 19th 2015. The band lost their vocalist Gregg Williamson one year ago but continued. Their new vocalist is Gamaliel. Now they are recording new songs with rhythm guitars and drums already finished.
