Thrashers Death Angel continue to promote their new album, The Evil Divide, and have shared another new song online from it. After entering the studio at the end of last year, the Bay Area thrashers Death Angel have shared more news regarding their new album. They have revealed that the follow-up to The Dream Calls For Blood will be called The Evil Divide. Check out the cover below and a sample of some new music is available on their website as well.
Death Angel will enter the studio on October 9th to begin tracking a new album to follow The Dream Calls For Blood. The Bay Area thrash metal band shows no sign of slowing down and will work once again with Jason Suecof and Rob producing at AudioHammer Studios in Sanford, Florida. The band has been writing new songs in between tours and is now in the final stages of writing.
Death Angel have released online the live song "Execution Don't Save Me". The track will appear on their upcoming The Bay Calls For Blood - Live In San Francisco live album, which will also be included with the release of their new Thrashumentary DVD. San Francisco Bay Area thrash metal veterans Death Angel will release the aptly titled A Thrashumentary on July 24th via Nuclear Blast. The DVD was directed, shot and edited by Tommy Jones (Kataklysm, Soilwork, Lamb Of God, Carcass, Testament) of Videohammer Studios and is a documentary on the band and the thrash scene. The release will also include a full live album entitled The Bay Calls For Blood.
Drummer Will Carroll gets the unlucky award of the day. The man behind the drum kit of thrashers Death Angel broke a bone in his right foot while he was taking out the trash. He will not be able to play drums for at least 3 weeks and so the band is forced to cancel their appearance at the Metal Against Cancer benefit on February 28th. They tried to arrange for a stand-in drummer, but with the lack of advance warning on the issue, they weren't able to make that work.
Death Angel's vocalist Mark Osegueda had the task to share today that the Bay Area thrashers have cancelled their summer festival appearances in Europe except for Hellfest in France, where they will be performing in June. Death Angel decided to cancel the tour dates to take care of the business side of the band and come back stronger.
