23:23 - s_t_s hey not that I miss them so but fo you know where band Deathstars's gone ? Seem they vanished...
21:47 - Risto It's their own tongue-in-cheek description. The vocals tip it over to the avantgarde side I think.
19:55 - Moose Many thanks to whoever introduced me to Astronoid via the shoutbox the other day. Their new album, Air, is magnificent. I can even understand why some refer to their genre as "Dream Thrash".
19:12 - Opethian @Apothecary, I got to meet him when I saw them play at Denver this past January. Dude is down to earth and was a privilege to get to meet him and Dallas \M/

2013 was truly an eventful year for German metallers Dew-Scented. The band released a special anniversary compilation Insurgent, toured Europe with Testament in April, performed at several outstanding festivals (including the inaugural Full Metal Cruise as well as Wacken Open Air) and then finished the year by touring Europe again with Death Angel. Leaving that behind, the main focus for Dew-Scented in 2014 will be the intense work on their 10th full-length studio album, which shall see the light in early 2015, tentatively.
"Sworn To Obey", a brand new song from German thrashers Dew-Scented has premiered and can be streamed below.

German death/thrash metallers Dew-Scented have posted the following update on their website revealing new album details: "Hey guys! Just as promised the other day, we can now reveal that the new Dew-Scented album will be entitled Icarus and also present you the stunning artwork designed by Björn Goosses/Killustrations."
In case you haven't heard, Dew-Scented parted ways with guitarist Martin Walczak late last year. The band has however found a temporarily replacement just in time for their European Tour with Nile later this month: Michael Hankel of Holy Moses will be taking over rhythm guitar duties for the tour.
Commented Dew-Scented: "We have known Michi for several years now and are certain he will compliment the band in a great way for the coming shows!"
Michael "Michi" Hankel added: "I am proud to let you know that I am joining Dew-Scented for their upcoming European Tour. I have liked these guys and their material since many years and in my opinion Dew-Scented are a real challenge for all Thrash Metallers. Their songs are sounding heavy now and will kick you right in the face... I am truly looking forward to meeting you all on this amazing tour!"

German thrash metallers Dew-Scented have finished recording and mixing their new album Invocation at Soundlodge Studio in Northern Germany with producer Jörg Uken (God Dethroned, Sinister, etc.).
Vocalist Leif Jensen checks in with the following comment: "It is done! After long weeks of intense work, we are finished tracking and mixing this new album... What a great feeling! The new song-material is totally fresh and energetic to us and I hope all you thrash maniacs will dig it as much as we do! Despite the band's line up changes, we are pretty much staying true to our traditional stylistic formula and tried to combine the best of our 80's thrash metal roots with the punch of a modern production and an utterly aggressive performance! Look out!"
German Thrash Metallers Dew-Scented have signed a European deal with Metal Blade Records for the release of their upcoming, still untitled new studio album.
The band comments the signing as follows: "We are happy to finally be able to announce that we have just signed a new deal with Metal Blade for Europe! We have known the European staff at Metal Blade for many years already and considering the label's massive history in Metal as well as the fact that their current repertoire includes several cool bands that we have toured with throughout the years like Amon Amarth, Cannibal Corpse or God Dethroned, we look forward to this new co-operation and are excited about the release of our next album, which we will be recorded in the coming weeks."
