Saor - UK Tour Announced

Scottish atmospheric black metal act led by Andy Marshall, Saor, has announced two UK dates, in London and Glasgow. The headline tour dates will take place next July and Saor will be performing material from their new album, Guardians. Furthermore, they promise to announce more European tour dates soon.

Master's Hammer - Announce First Show In 25 Years

The Brutal Assault 2017 festival will be pretty special for fans of Czech black metallers Master's Hammer as the band will perform for the first time in 25 years! 25 years after their last show, the legendary band will do an exclusive summer festival show at Brutal Assault 2017 and will do a set based on the early 90's songs for the old fans and those who were not even born at the time.

Lock Up - Debut New Song, Announce New Album

Prepare for a new death/grind attack courtesy of Lock Up. The supergroup just premiered their first new song in a long time and it's called "Mindfight". Now fronted by Kevin Sharp of Brutal Truth fame, the band will release a new album next year, Demonization. The record will drop via Listenable Records in March 2017.

King Crimson - Greg Lake Passes Away

Greg Lake, who fronted both King Crimson and Emerson, Lake & Palmer, has died aged 69. Born in Bournemouth and one of the founding fathers of progressive rock, the British musician is known for songs including "In The Court Of The Crimson King" and "I Believe In Father Christmas". He died on Wednesday after "a long and stubborn battle with cancer," said his manager. The news comes nine months after Lake's band-mate Keith Emerson died. Keyboardist Emerson died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to coroners in the U.S.

Soundgarden - To Record New Album Next Year

Soundgarden have been working on a new album. During a recent appearance on "Whiplash", the KLOS radio show hosted by Full Metal Jackie, Soundgarden's frontman Chris Cornell confirmed that the band hopes to enter the studio early next year to record their long-awaited new album, which will be their first since 2012's King Animal, with the goal of releasing it later in the year.

Heavy Montréal - Will Go On Hiatus In 2017

Montreal concert promoter Evenko has announced that the Canadian metal festival Heavy Montréal will go on hiatus next summer, but will return on July 28th and 29th, 2018 at Parc Jean-Drapeau. Nick Farkas, vice-president of concerts and events at Evenko, said that Heavy Montréal was being cancelled in 2017 due to a number of factors, including the renovations that will be going on at Parc Jean-Drapeau and the fact that the summer of 2017 will have a busy schedule for other hard rock and metal shows in Montreal.

One Desire - New Band With Cain's Offering And Sturm Und Drang Members

Innovative Italian label Frontiers Music Srl recently presented the birth of their new melodic rock band, One Desire, which features the former Sturm Und Drang man André Linman and Jonas Kuhlberg of Cain's Offering, along with Jimmy Westerlund and Ossi Sivula. The Frontiers Music Srl manager even noted that their upcoming album is a "strong contender for album of the year". No further information about their upcoming album is known to date.
