Avenged Sevenfold - Try To Get Out Of Warner Bros. Contract, Sued

We might have the first drama of the year on our hands, or at least the first legal battles taking place. According to Billboard, Avenged Sevenfold are trying to get out of their current recording contract. In turn, the label has filed a breach-of-contract suit against the band, seeking compensatory damages. While the band plans to enter the studio soon, they might also have to go to court.

Queensrÿche - New Video Released

Progressive metal veterans Queensrรฟche just shared their new video clip for the song "Eye9" which is taken from Queensrรฟche's latest album, Condition Hüman. Headspace - Release First Track From New Album

New music from Headspace! Kauan - Latvian Show Cancelled, Announce Side-Project

Post/doom metal act Kauan were supposed to perform in Latvia for the first time this month. However, they had to cancel the show in Latvia in support of their new album Sorni Nai due to problems with obtaining visas. The gig was to take place on January 23rd in Riga at concert hall Klubs Melnā Piektdiena.

Avantasia - N. American Shows, In Eurovision Preliminary Round

Avantasia, the band created by Edguy frontman Tobias Sammet, has big news to share today. They have announced that the band will play some shows in North America, which will include their second appearance in Canada. Musicians already confirmed for the shows are: Michael Kiske, Jørn Lande, Eric Martin, Ronnie Atkins, Amanda Somerville, Herbie Langhans, Sascha Paeth and Oliver Hartmann. Furthermore, Avantasia will take part in the preliminary TV casting show to choose the candidate to represent Germany at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm this May. The group will compete with its current single, "Mystery Of A Blood Red Rose".

Black Tusk - New Song Online

On November 9th, 2014, Black Tusk bassist Jonathan Athon died after suffering severe injuries in a motorcycle accident. With the band's future in question, guitarist Andrew Fidler and drummer James May decided to keep Black Tusk going, in memory of Athon - and just as he would've wished it. Their forthcoming album, Pillars Of Ash will arrive on January 29th, 2016 via Relapse Records. The band has shared a new cut from the album, "Desolation Of Endless Times", which the trio says "sums up the kind of year the band's had." You can listen to it right here.

Iron Maiden - To Play In China For First Time Ever

Heavy metal legends Iron Maiden will make their highly anticipated first-ever visit to China in April on The Book Of Souls World Tour, playing at Beijing LeSports Center on April 24th and Shanghai Mercedes-Benz Arena on April 26th. The band is promoting their double album The Book Of Souls. Iron Maiden announced last year that touring plans to support the album wouldn't happen until 2016 to allow singer Bruce Dickinson time to fully recuperate after his successful cancer treatment.
