Catamenia - Band Update

There has been no news from Finnish act Catamenia for many years. Now the band's guitarist Riku Hopeakoski has finally said something about the current state of the melodic death metal band. According to him, the band will start writing new songs for a follow-up to Cavalcade (2010), their last album. Riku Hopeakoski has been suffering from tennis elbow but he is finally getting better.

Motörhead - Postpone Paris Show

After In Flames canceled their show in Nancy, now also Motörhead have postponed the Paris date on their European tour after the Ministry of Culture decided to close the Zenith in Paris. Saxon and Girlschool were also scheduled to perform as part of the Motörhead European tour. A new date in January is in the works for the show in Paris.

Enforcer - Reveal Track Video

Swedish quartet Enforcer not only dropped a new album this year as they will release the band's very first live DVD/CD package, called Live By Fire, this week on November 20th via Nuclear Blast. The speed metallers have recently revealed an appetizer clip from it. Watch below the track video for the new studio track, "Stellar Plains", which will be on the 10" EP of the mailorder box and on the CD.

Infernal War - Share New Video Clip

Polish black/death metallers Infernal War from Częstochowa have recently released a brand new video for "Into Dead Soil". The track appears on their most recent album Axiom, which was released on April by Agonia Records. You can see it on the YouTube player below. In Flames - Cancel Nancy Show After Paris Terrorist Attacks

Swedish metallers In Flames have cancelled their show in Nancy, France in the wake of the tragedy in Paris. After the terror acts at Le Bataclan during an Eagles Of Death Metal show as well as attacks in other locations, the band didn't perform yesterday but will return today in Pratteln, Switzerland.

Aborted - To Release 20th Anniversary EP, Live Video

Aborted are already turning 20 this year and the Belgian death metallers will celebrate the feat with Termination Redux, the band's brand new 20th anniversary limited edition vinyl and digital EP release. Eagles Of Death Metal - Over 100 Dead After Paris Show Terrorist Attack

The venue Le Bataclan in Paris, France, hosts hundreds of shows every year, and many of those are from metal bands. After the tragedy in Romania recently, another one happens. During an Eagles Of Death Metal concert last night, at least 112 people were killed by terrorists who also seized hostages. More than 1,000 people were inside the hall at the time of the rampage but police did bring the hostage situation to a close. This Friday night, several other attacks took place in Paris at different locations. The members of Eagles Of Death Metal survived according to their management. Deftones were also scheduled to perform at Le Bataclan today.

Melodic doom masters Swallow The Sun have just released their eagerly awaited new triple full-length album, Songs From The North I, II & III. Napalm Death - Announce Split EP With Heaven Shall Burn

Grindcore pioneers Napalm Death and Germany's metal powerhouse Heaven Shall Burn have teamed up for a very special split 7" EP release. Entitled The Mission Creep, this limited vinyl-only split 7" EP will be released on December 11th, 2015 via the bands' longtime label Century Media Records and it will include both an unreleased song by Heaven Shall Burn called "Battle Of Attrition" as well as the unreleased Napalm Death track "An Extract (Strip It Clean)".

Nordic Union is the name behind the new musical collaboration, built by Frontiers president Serafino Perugino, between singer Ronnie Atkins of the Danish hard rock institution Pretty Maids and the up-and-coming Swedish songwriter and producer Erik Martensson of Eclipse and W.E.T. fame.
