Saxon - Working On New Album
British heavy metal legends Saxon have commenced the songwriting process for the follow-up to 2013's Sacrifice album. In a recent interview, frontman Biff Byford confirmed that the band has been working on their next album and he is also working on a solo album himself. He expects the new Saxon album and his solo output to be released in 2015.

Fantômas - To Play Entire 'The Director's Cut' Album At RockOut Fest

Aldious - Drummer Announces Retirement
Aruto, the drummer of all-woman power metallers Aldious, has announced she'll be retiring from all musical activity this November. In a statement on the band's website, she explains that her forthcoming marriage will see her move away from Tokyo, where Aldious are currently based, and has therefore decided to withdraw from the band so as not to disrupt their activities.

Destrose - Drummer Announces Departure
Talk about coincidences. After Aldious drummer Aruto announced she'd be leaving the band, Haruna, drummer of fellow all-woman troupe Destrose, has said she too will be leaving her band before the end of the year. Both women are departing for the same reason: to get married.

King's X - Drummer Suffers Heart Attack
King's X drummer Jerry Gaskill has suffered a heart attack. The band explains that he will undergo double bypass surgery but is stable. This means, of course, that the progressive group has to cancel all upcoming shows. This is his second heart attack. The first one happened back in February 2012. Best of luck to Jerry Gaskill. Hopefully, he can recover from this.

This year's edition of ProgPower USA is concluded today in Atlanta, Georgia with Masterplan, Pain Of Salvation, Jon Oliva's Pain and more performing on the final day. As usual, the organizers are already announcing the bands that will perform on the next edition. The ProgPower USA XVI presents a stellar line-up. The Deathtrip - Soon To Release Debut Full-Length
The Deathtrip is a relatively unknown band and has just two demos in their discography. A few days ago, a Facebook profile popped up, and news of the forthcoming full-length album were posted shortly after. The album, called Deep Drone Master, will be released on the Finnish record company Svart Records. The band currently consists of vocalist Bjørn "Lord Aldrahn" Dencker, session drummer Dan "Storm" Mullins, and guitarist "Host". Their debut album has been mixed by Snorre Ruch from the legendary Thorns and is set for international release on November 14th.

Former !T.O.O.H.! frontman Josef "Humanoid" Vesely has recently released an electronic music album under the name of the unpronounceable symbol §§, along with different live and rare !T.O.O.H.! music and from other projects.
