Massacre Records have just announced the signing of Jonne, which was formed by Jonne Järvelä as a solo project which soon morphed and developed into a full band. From starting out as a solo idea, it fast grew into a real band, accompanied by 9 other musicians from the Finnish folk and metal music scene, featuring members of Amorphis, Shape Of Despair, Wabanag and Oceanwake. Jonne's self-titled album is set to be released on July 24th, 2015 via Massacre Records.

During the band's history, Ancient Rites overcame several blows of fate, including band members passing away or bad experiences with promoters and labels. Things aren't looking good for Massacre. The Death Dta Tours has informed that due to several factors, the death metallers will not be taking part in the Symbolic 20th Anniversary European tour in late February/March 2015. Unfortunately, Massacre also had to cut their participation in the Swamp Leper Stomp '14 tour with DTA, Obituary and Rivers Of Nihil by one show. Bassist Terry Butler and vocalist Ed Webb issued joint statements indicating that they have left the band.
