Verni said in a recent interview on Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk that the recording process of the band's follow-up to 2019's The Wings Of War is almost finished and should be ready to be mixed this fall. He also revealed that the record is expected to be released in March of next year to coincide with a tour.

East Coast thrash legends Overkill have announced their first live show since the COVID pandemic, which will take place on November 13th at The Wellmont Theater, with Demolition Hammer and Sworn Enemy. Not only will this be their first show in "609 F!!kin' Days", but it is actually a make-up of their appearance at the venue on March 14th, 2020 that was scrapped because of the pandemic, and tickets are available here. M.O.D. were originally supposed to play this gig, but were dropped from the bill for unknown reasons.

Overkill drummer Jason Bittner recently confirmed on his personal Facebook page that the band's long-awaited new album has been pushed back from this fall to February 2022. No exact reason has been given, but the band has reportedly been in the studio working on the follow-up to 2019's The Wings Of War for nearly a year. It will be the 20th studio album in Overkill's recording career.

However, the thrashers former guitarist, Bobby Gustafson, says that fans shouldn't buy the band's upcoming Live In Overhausen DVD and Blu-Ray (which celebrates the Feel The Fire and Horrorscope albums) because he is "not getting a dime" from the release.
