Fates Warning - To Reissue 'A Pleasant Shade Of Gray'

The progressive metal legends will be releasing a 3 CD/DVD deluxe reissue of their critically acclaimed release on October 2nd. Kataklysm - Four New Videos Released

Kataklysm continue their video series for the new album, Of Ghosts And Gods. After releasing the first video for the track "Breaching The Asylum" a few days ago, the death metallers have since then released four other new concept videos. Essentially, fans will listen to the ten tracks on the album before its release. Kauan - Announce New Album, Details Unveiled

Kauan are back! The Russian folk/doom metallers have been releasing albums in quick succession over the last few years and have now announced Sorni Nai, their seventh album in only eight years. Sorni Nai is a concept album that references and expands upon territory explored in their previous work Pirut, showcasing a single 52-minute long track, twisting through lush string orchestrations into sinister and operatic doom metal. Tarja - To Release Classical Solo Debut

Tarja, who is recording a new metal/rock album to follow Colours In The Dark, has also announced her first classical debut solo album. This September 11th, 2015 sees the release of Ave Maria - En Plein Air on earMUSIC. The album features 12 "Ave Maria" songs by a wide variety of composers. Tarja Turunen breathes life into some of the most loved and rare songs of Paolo Tosti, David Popper, Astor Piazzolla, and Johann Sebastian Bach/Charles Gounod, among others. The closing track of the album presents a composition by Tarja Turunen herself.

Drowning Pool - Recording New Album

While there aren't many details about it yet, recording sessions are underway for a new studio album from Drowning Pool. In fact, drummer Mike Luce has already recorded all the drum parts for the new record. After releasing Resilience in 2013, the band didn't waste any time to make another record. Overkill - To Release 1995-2007 Box Set

Fans of New Jersey-based thrash metal veterans Overkill take notice. The group recently inked a new worldwide deal with Nuclear Blast Records and their first worldwide release on Nuclear Blast will be a special box set, HistoriKill: 1995 - 2007 which will be released on October 16th and will include eleven Overkill albums on 13 CDs and a bonus CD (including demos, remixes and an unreleased cover song) in digi sleeves.

Monster Magnet - Announce New Release, Debut Song

Dave Wyndorf and his henchmen recently completely rearranged and boosted the album Last Patrol and christened it Milking The Stars: A Reimagining Of Last Patrol. Now Monster Magnet go back even further to 2010 and their Mastermind album. Opeth - Releasing Book In December

Remember the book Opeth have been working on? It is finally becoming a reality. The band has been hard at work these past few years to put together a coffee table style biography for release later this year and the book is now available for pre-order at this location where you find all you need to know. The book to celebrate their 25th anniversary is being published by Rocket 88 in early December 2015 in the UK. There will be two editions and both will come with two unheard exclusive tracks.

Avenged Sevenfold - Part Ways With Drummer

Avenged Sevenfold are parting ways with another drummer. Arin Ilejay is no longer behind the kit and the band will be moving forward without him due to creative differences. Since the passing of drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan in 2009, the band has had in its ranks Mike Portnoy (ex-Dream Theater) and later Arin Ilejay. Avenged Sevenfold still haven't announced a replacement but say they are excited about their future plans. Any guesses on who the new drummer might be?
