Swedish doom metal legends Count Raven have sadly announced they will not perform on Hellfest Open Air this afternoon (June 19th). This due to the fact that band member Dan Fondelius was brought to the hospital on Wednesday due to gastro intestinal condition. Doctors declared that due to the symptoms, he will have to undergo a complete medical exam and that he is in no condition to perform.

The band had with eager anticipation looked forward to attend Hellfest. Though the band thanks everyone who worked to get them there very much, and wishes them all good luck with the festival.

He could have turned flatulence into a stage running gag. But I guess if he's in a hospital it's not that funny after all. Sucks for the people though. The ones that came to see them and the ones who don't realize the change soon enough and then find their favorite band rescheduled to a slot that's already past.

Rob Lowe of Candlemass and Solitude Aeturnus was really disappointed about it. He told me so about 2 hours ago ;-) Well for me it did solve a horrendous clash.
