That slick logo is back |
| Pretty ugly if you ask me. |
| And tragic it is. Please let the music be killing. |
| I think the artwork is too bright and shocking. A little darkness would fit. |
| I like it. Its oldschool looking. It seems PL might be trying to return to their roots! |

I don't know why I remembered Blut Aus Nord's Album "777 Sects" When I saw this one.

| I have no idea if I like it or hate it. |

Fucking cool. Very glad I must note to also see their highlight logo return. |

| Love it! A very welcome change from the usual 'lonesome badass hero/EPIC fight scene/bleak landscape/gratuitous illegible black metal logo' album covers everyone seems to have been regurgitating in the last decade. |

Heh... I don't see as many of the "cliche covers" you are describing.
Hmmm now I know why I don't like this cover. It looks like a cheap copy of the work by John Baizley. |

The artwork is fine, if not mindblowing... great to see the classic PL logo back though. Hopefully the music within reflects that! |

I know names and logos usually don't have to mean anything... But it is nice to see the old logo.
A part of me wants to dig the artwork but I can't. |

| I find this work quite reminiscent of the Art Nouveau style with those volutes. |

It's nice artwork, but for the wrong band, for some reason I get a sort of Post Metal/Sludge vibe from it. |

That's because the artwork totally looks like a cheap copy of the work by John Baizley (who you would totally recognize just by a google click in case you don't know his name). |

I didn't know the name, but searching his name I knew the art style straight away. |

Spot on!

Actually both artists are influenced by the Art Nouveau style from circa 1900. |

Huh... This artwork definitely reminds me of BaN's latest, the style and colors used are quite a bit similar, methinks.

When I had properly had seen this I could instantly see the Art Noveau style direction but to make it seem more relevant. If you see the cover of their latest release, Draconian Times MMXI. It too had shown both the art style and logo - even if it were to rerepresent a previous album style. It's not like they didn't have the option to differ into something far away from it, like their last couple of album designs did. |

Can't tell if joking or just colorblind. Nothing remotely similar at all. |

Yah I see that both employ blue and yellow/gold (-ish in the case of Paradise Lost) but the similarity ends there. Different style, subject matter, tone etc.
Very nice cover though. Elegant and the muted tones are very classy. |

Joking. Paying a homage to that Lugburz - The Light that Dwells in Rotten Wood thingy a while back.
I was hoping you'd catch up on that. |

I'm improving considering that this time I WAS skeptical that other time I actually thought you were serious.
Then again, I fail too see why you need to joke with something... that isn't really funny |

| That's definitely some good news! I really like this band, waiting for the songs. April? hm oooukay |
| I for one love it. I think it looks freaking amazing. |
| Not really fond of the artwork, but the album must be fucking awesome!!! |
| It's definitely a different approach for Paradise Lost. And there's nothing wrong with that. The album artwork is well crafted. |
| I'm not a big fan of this kind of art, but I respect it and I know how hard it is to create something like this. Although I like the change of logo idea. Could this mean a change in their sound too? I like what they did in the last few years, but going back to their old sound would be nice too. |
Paradise Lost have changed a lot during these years.
I love the old logo returns, hopefully with pinch of old glorious doom wave!
Can't wait till 23th! |

I like the cover art.
Looking forward to hearing this album. |
| To me it looks like it belongs on the cover of a Black Tusk album |

| Stripes and stuff.. "wow". I will be surprised if the album cover manages to describe the album. |

At first look, they seem very similar. More scrutiny though reveals the difference. |
