23:01 - tibosax Sounds good 3rd, but I don't know if I can stand 10 10 minutes songs of tha monotonous style
22:52 - Doge of Venice Exactly. :P As an old fan of theirs, it's definitely more energised and interesting than anything they've done for a decade.
22:51 - 3rdWorld v Clickbait Avenged Sevenfold shite.
22:48 - Doge of Venice Don't mean to be that dude, but the new best kvlt album of the year leaked - [link] Just joking. Few songs in, so far quite interesting. Vocals will still be love/hate
22:42 - Maratha When're there's talk of Korn during Halloween, I remember Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery from South Park.
22:36 - 3rdWorld Best atmospheric black I've heard all year. No bullshit samples or nature recordings, just a desolate and bleak guitar playing to get the ambience going. Swiss perfection. [link]
21:48 - 3rdWorld Was just playing the devil's advocate. I love them myself but just the first 3 albums for that matter. Haven't heard the new one in full yet but that one single really sounded well like the old primitive bassy Korn.
Shining frontman Niklas Kvarforth recently announced that he is releasing a book titled When Prozac No Longer Helps, which contains every lyric ever written by him in both its original language (Swedish) and in English in a hardcover format, individually numbered in Kvarforth's own blood. The first pressing will be limited to 500 copies.
Niklas Kvarforth himself has translated the lyrics into English from the original Swedish. The first edition paperback will be published on December 7th. When Prozac No Longer Helps will only be available through the Shining web shop and can be pre-ordered here.
The following statement regarding the publication of the book has been issued by Kvarforth: "Far too long I've been pestered each and every day by people from all around this disgusting planet asking if I can translate this or that lyric into English. Up until a few months ago this seemed to be an impossible task due to the poetic style I use when writing Swedish. However, after several months of frustration I've put something truly horrific together and was so pleased with the result I decided to collect them all and make them into a book."
"I don't think many of you are truly interested in reading these, even though you say you do. As we all know, it is 'true' to state you really do care about the lyrics of a band like Shining. But being 'true' is probably the only reason you say so. So go ahead, prove me wrong. And to anyone bitching about the high price, well, it cost tons of money to print a fine edition in such a low quantity, and I am certainly not into charity."
"So go ahead, prove me wrong" !! C'on ... what he thinks he talking to?! a bunch of kindergarten's child!? ... besides his voice and according to statements like this one , he would fits in another job better than this. maybe a businessman!
Every time I read Kvarforth's drama queen statements, I imagine him reciting them like at the beginning of "The Eerie Cold". I find his pompousness to be a light and humorous contrast to the bleak image he puts forth with Shining. It's like Carpathian Forest and Vrangsinn's enormous ass.
Wow, I heard this guy was a bitchy asshole but this certainly crosses the line.. it's like someone is making him publish these lyrics so that we can share in the supreme cathartic experience that is reading his lyrics. He sounds like the members of Anus.com all converged into one. I'm gonna quote Necrobutcher from Mayhem on this one.. "I have a comment: FUCK YOU!"
