Today has brought many premieres. Here is more new music for you. Luca Turilli's Rhapsody have also premiered a new song today. In fact, their first digital single "Rosenkreuz (The Rose And The Cross)" was released today and the band created a lyric video for it. Go ahead and get a taste of Prometheus, Symphonia Ignis Divinus below! It's only the beginning...

Single cover artwork

Luca Turilli commented on the song and the lyrical background: "While trying to understand more about the subject of metaphysics and spiritual evolution, my intention was to discover more about the primordial original spiritual source that, when manipulated more or less wisely later by man, gave birth to all the religions. Many people dedicated all their life and their studies to this subject, like for example Helena Blavatsky who tried to condensate all in her theosophical perspective or Rudolf Steiner that tried to improve the society of his time with his anthroposophy. The truth is that whoever tried to discover more about such spiritual source linked with the primordial photon energy and the immortal secret related with it, sooner or later had to face the myth of Christian Rosenkreuz. The Rhapsody song 'Rosenkreuz (The Rose And The Cross)' tells about the great origin of the Rosicrucian Order and tells about the 12 wise men, keepers of the spiritual wisdom of the Ancients and of the highest intellectual knowledge of their time that, willing to react against the corrupted and amoral society of their time, found in the '13th one' the personified synthesis of such immortal secret reflected in the absolute and purest essence of light and love."

Prometheus, Symphonia Ignis Divinus is set to be released on June 19th (Europe), June 22nd (UK), June 30th (US) through Nuclear Blast Records.

Get rid of all that choir stuff at the start, get Fabio as singer and you have got Dawn Of Victory era Rhapsody. Sounds a bit like Prophet Of The Last Eclipse with the keyboard sound.

You mean get rid of all the stuff he's been so proudly babbling about on the band's Facebook page? Song is pretty good even with all the extra layers.

Conceptually this song is amazing. Untouched in the metal scene as far a i know. Musically, disapointingly predictable.

Beside the intro symphonics, the actual song is pretty good, just wish the singer could actually sing...

And after all that psuedo-intellectual babble we still don't know what the Rose and Cross even is supposed to mean... I really hate when people compose sentences with unnecessarily complicated grammar and fancy words just to try to sound profound. If you really have these profound ideas about metaphysics and 'spiritual evolution' then learn how to fucking communicate, otherwise your promotion of these ideas are just in vain.

Certainly agree with the unnecessary babbling, what a load of idiotics statements. As for the song I have no problems with the symphonic intro but the singer is really poor.

Shockingly amateurish. Everything on their first album was superior. The mix is a disaster. Starting to get worried for the album now lol.

What are you talking about??? This is magnificent. At last someone used choral choirs properly. Sounds amazing! The only thing I can agree with is the vocals. However it sounded great in the last album, maybe it will get better with other songs.

I think it was interesting. I even kinda liked it.

I've never really understood why people feel the need to complain that the new stuff doesn't sound like the old one. It would be fucking boring if all albums sounded the same. I prefer failed attempts at innovation than settling for a safe sound.

I see why Rhapsody split now, too bad both routes are going to nowhere I can understand.

If you do not understand the complex themes Luca is talking about, you should not just say it makes no sense.
