Tuska Open Air - Release 20th Anniversary Song


Tuska Open Air Metal Festival has released a 20th anniversary 7-minute song and it was written and performed by the top names in Finnish metal. The song celebrates Tuska Open Air Metal Festival's twenty years of existence. "Tuska20 - The Anniversary Song" is now available for listening below and for download as mp3 or wav -file through fundyou.io.

One download costs 5 euros. All proceeds from the song are being collected to "Tuska 20 years" charity fund. The object of charity will be determined by an advisory board, which consists of musicians, industry notables and Tuska-related persons throughout the history of the festival.




The list of metal talent taking part in the project: Esa Holopainen (Amorphis), Nino Laurenne (Thunderstone, Sonic Pump Studio), Marco Hietala (Nightwish) Jaska Raatikainen, Alexi Laiho, Daniel Freyberg, Janne Wirman (Children Of Bodom), Gas Lipstick (ex-HIM/Hallatar), Tomi Joutsen, Santeri Kallio (Amorphis), Kai Hahto (Wintersun, Nightwish), Marko Annala & Tuomo Saikkonen (Mokoma), Lordi, Timo Kotipelto, Lauri Porra, Jens Johansson (Stratovarius), Roope Latvala and Janne Joutsenniemi from legendary Stone, Noora Louhimo (Battle Beast), Pasi Rantanen (Thunderstone), Jari Mäenpää and Teemu Mäntysaari (Wintersun), Antti Hyyrynen (Stam1na), Burton (HIM), Samy Elbanna (Lost Society), Archie Cruz (Santa Cruz), Ville Sorvali (Moonsorrow), Netta Skog (Ensiferum), Mikko Karmila (Finnvox Studios), Mika Jussila (Finnvox Studios). Tuska Promoter Jouni Markkanen who is also known from his time as the lead vocalist of Sub-Urban Tribe, also made an appearance in the vocal booth. International guests involved in the project are well-known Tuska-aficionado Akira Takasaki (Loudness) and Gus G. (Ozzy Osbourne, Firewind).

Children Of Bodom drummer Jaska Raatikainen elaborates: "This project is more secret than North Korea. Even the musicians don't know what's going to happen?"
