The Flower Kings - Unfold the Future
Iron Maiden - Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
Wasn't actually planning on listening to SSoaSS, but the title track popped up in my Youtube suggestions, and after I just had to listen to the whole thing.

Seriously an great album. I would not expect a nu metalcore band to have such memorable riffs, and the album is surprisingly diverse, with catchy bits, feely bits, and balls-to-wall-heavy bits.
Weird story on this, I emailed the contact link to see if was he ever making any new music, which went directly to the record label who responded saying that he "had a feeling they would be " which led me to believe that the man running the label was also the guy behind this band. A few months go by and I don't think anything of it. One day I'm scrolling on Facebook and the record label made a post that was from the owners wife, basically saying he was in an "accident" and had passed away. Years go by now and I just happened to think of their bandcamp again, so I check it out and sure enough there is a new album, posted from 2015. I know that this album wasn't released in 2015 because I have checked since then. Weird.

Some (the usual) Iron Maiden albums: The X Factor, Sevent Son Of A Seventh Son and Brave New World
Blind Guardian - Battalions Of Fear
Sorcerer - Crowning Of The Fire King (still in my top 5 albums of this year, really enjoy it)
The Chronicles Project - When Darkness Falls
Dream Theater - Images And Words
Iced Earth - Night Of The Stormrider
Night - Raft Of The World (Another album that's currently in my top 5 of the year)
Bell - Tidecaller
Enrichment - Reanimate (Probably a candidate to get up into that top 5 of the year as well)
And lastly Acid Witch - Evil Sound Screamers... I wanted to give it another chance but honestly I stopped listening to it after 20 min. (and the album is only 37 min. or so long). How you can make an album that is so short, yet so dull is beyond me tbh.
This is the best hardcore album of all time. Clean but not over produced, quick in your face songs, not overrun with breakdowns or extra frilly bullshit. Absolutely NO filler, just the right length. Nice pissed off, but still understandable vocals that showcase clever idioms and fantastic lyrics. Fantastic drum work, etc.

Oh my god this shit is good for hardcore. Reminds me of a band (that may be my personal fave hardcore band) Modern Life Is War.
