For me Moonspell has passed his bad years,or should I say the time that I hated them(hated is exaggerated),it was the days between Sin/Pecado and The Butterfly Effect,honestly between those days they were over for me but they came back to make good music! By the way,does anyone have heard their new songs?

Well, at least your 'dislike' period matched the band's most experimental times. There's a reason for that disliking and anyone can understand if you don't like it if they suddenly decide to change their sound.

I've heard the new songs, alright. "Night Eternal" kicks f***in' ass, while "Scorpion Flower" seems to be some kind of sequel to Luna. Fortunately it's not like Luna, or else I wouldn't stand listening to it. Luna's the one Moonspell song that I absolutely do not like.

Looking forward for the whole album.

On-topic: I just remembered another portuguese band that makes an awesome sound, but I'm not sure if we can call them Metal. Some bands are really hard to label (specially for me, I'm not so fond of labelling). They're called Bizarra Locomotiva and they may be inserted in industrial Metal, just so people get an idea. But maybe they're just Industrial. I really don't know. Or care that much.

Man I like old moonspell but i open a portuagese wine and try understand what fernando try to say whit that music, even sometimes its hard but ist aint so bad... hope thay will make some song for winemakers who work hard in wine yards for use

Moonspell, Malevolence and ThanatoSchizo are the only bands I've listened to from Portugal...those three seem to be pretty good representations of metal from that country...

Dunno only band what i could see was moonspell and iMO thay had best live experience so I think thay

Bosque are a pretty interesting funeral doom band, especially their material in the split with Senthil.

I also enjoyed a lot Corpus Christii's last release.

Well, if you want to know more bands from Portugal. LOUD! (the magazine) is publishing some pages dedicated to the metal scene in each area of Portugal. Last one was Azores and after reading the article i'm now interested in some of them.

Yeah, kudos to them for that idea.

Regarding the best portuguese live acts, from the bands I've seen live so far I'll point out Moonspell and Filii Nigrantium Infernalium. I may be forgetting someone...

Then there's a band I've never seen live, but that from what I hear it's pretty damn good: Bizarra Locomotiva.

Pitch Black are pretty damn good live. Than there is WEB, they're pretty nice too and in the end of their shows they always play "Raining Blood" (at least they played it when i saw them live 2 times).
