Yeah, I think it will just take some getting used to, that's all. What happened to our rankings though? Forum Expert, Beastmaster, Apprentice, etc? And also, what happended to the quick move to different forum thing? Overall pretty cool though. What happens if people abuse the 'add things' options. Can anyone do it, or only certain people?

Honestly, I don't know how the forum ranking system will be but what I do know is that right now is not the right time to make conclusions about what features are gone and what aren't. As Ivan said, he has been working on 18 hours to get MS3.0 up and running so there are still stuff missing..

Things looks great and site loads pretty damn fast, i'm happy!

Oh of course Angelique, I wasn't having a bitch or anything I'm at Uni at the moment, so it's 1.5Mbps speed internet. I haven't been on MS to check out v3 from at home yet, so I haven't seen whether it loads fast or not for me. It will be awesome if it does though as I have dial up at home, and things like that are important when you have dial up!

Wow, as if things haven't changed enough since like November. What happened to the site that I was a part of. I'm not trying to say I don't appreciate the work, I do.

This place just won't be the same as I remembered it. Personally as much as I love and think it's important people like Ivan and the admins have such a dedicated and active role in the site, is it possible too keep the site's past around? With all of the threads gone, we have lost priceless words that so many great posters have put their hearts and minds into. What was it all for.

I feel like this site in order to move into the future is destroying it's past. Metalstorm isn't just an online database that people look at. It's the people that make it up. None of my crew feels like they'll be returning here, and I certainly have enjoyed being here too much to just abandon the site. I'll pop in and out, but it was disappointing today when I logged in and saw all that we have done is gone. The site layout is gone, the posts are gone, and so many of the people are gone.

Don't make me leave you metalstorm, but I feel you may leave me.

I think this is a little childish man (no insult), what was written down means nothing, its what stuck in your head and information gathered that means something. What was lost in MS, is still in my head, its not like my mind upgraded to Matts Brain v3.

Awesome new style! I totally love it! and yay! myt prays have been heard, the texts are more readable ^^
MS gets more and more user-friendly ^^
EDIT: now when to think, MS gets more like wikipedia, where users can edit almost every page...

With adding stuff, what exactly can we add. I read the new FAQ and it says that you can add albums, lyrics, etc. But I can't seem to see where I can add lyrics. I can edit, but not add. Also, when adding new band members, is it that important that we add when they were born and when they died? There are some bands who don't have any members listed at the moment, and I was going to add some, but it's extremely hard to find birth and death dates for every band member.

EDIT: Also, what happens if there is a band member not written down in the list on their band page, and you go to add them, but then you find that they're in that big drop down list? Do you add them as a new member, or do you just choose them from the list and add their date of joining the band?

No, it's not that important.

You should read the given instructions more carefully. In the bottom of the editing page, it says: Make sure the member isn't already featured, before adding a new one!

Again, from the bottom of the page: If a member has been in the band for more than one period of time (departed and then came back), please add him twice, for both periods.

3. I did read that I thought that it meant make sure that they aren't already there on the main band page, not already there on the big list. So we can add people from that list to the band's main page, got it!

I would just like to ask, if comics are going to be add, because I really enjoyed them... The second thing is, that on the last version of MS you could see artists birthdays. Is it going to be on this version too?

I'm shure that I wasn't dreaming, so I made a screenshot of it, but now I don't see it. I saw it in the 'We have to rebiuld...' thread, and almost every user had a 'yes' under their post count. The pic is this.

I don't like how I can hardly see a lot of the type on the page...it's hard to read things like custom titles, Post:, Age:, From:, etc, etc...

It looks damn sexy. Good job.

You should probably adjust your monitor / video card settings, because I have no problems with dark text, even in daylight.

I don't care about anything that happens on the internet,but i'm very touchy when it comes to MS.
And that's why i honestly hate it.But that's just because i dislike change to stuff that are important to me.
But gimme a couple of days.

does anyone else agree it was easier and faster to find a band on the feat. bands page, when it was set up the old way? do we really need all this useless stuff like formed/disbanded/etc etc. if we care about that stuff, we should just click the bio page. in short i'm saying, i liked the old feat. band index set-up.

What exactly are you talking about?

This was quite a surprise for me since I haven't been to this site for very long time. I can't recall exactly how everything was before but the design looks good and it certainly seems to work a bit faster.

Actually, the reason I haven't posted in this forum for about a year is partly because the combination slow site & slow computer got too frustrating and partly because I couldn't remember what topics I've already answered a year ago. This change seems to solve both my problems, so maybe I start posting here again when I have time for it.

My internet is actually pretty fast, but the site takes a lot of time to load for me, much more than it used to.

Other then that, it looks great.
