Always good to know that someone from a rich metal country is still interested in other cultures! Way to go K7 I'm impressed Tarantula are good indeed.

Im not from rich metal country, I live there so from my country best band was Heaven Grey awesoem gothic/doom

Here are 2 more bands.

Disaffected - Saw them at Caos Emergente and then i decided to check them out, although their performance wasn't that good. So, i listened to Vast (they only released one full-lenght) and it was rather nice. Check it.

Epping Forest - Hmm, i read an interview with them, according to it, they play blackened death metal. Released their first album this year and i'm putting their music to my mp3. So, comments later.

I haven't tried 'em yet so can't add anything about their works....

3 of those bands have some following here, namely Opus Draconis, Process of Guilt and ThanatoShizo.

I don't know the other one to be honest.

I have yet to hear something from ThanatoSchizo. Gwydion were recently added to MS but i haven't listened anything from them. I only know that they play some kind of Folk Black Metal, i think...

It could be worst!?, there are very metal fans, the down thing is that the media(tv, radio) don't give us a chance, so we say thks to the internet! And cause of that we have very internacional influences but o k é nacional é bom!

So i listened to "Everblasting Struggle" by Epping Forest and i must say that it's one of the best portuguese metal albums of this year. Cool riffing, fast drumming and i think that the keyboards bring their music to another level.

So true man! And yeah, we still have a pretty good percentage of metal fans here. Of course it could always be better. But from what I can see, most of people here are influenced by tv and radio like u said.. specially with that mtv crap.

I know of a few, most of which have been mentioned here.

There's one I don't think's been mentioned and that's Requiem Laus. I'd say it's somewhere along the lines of death metal with black and thrash influences. A bit of mish-mash really.

Celtic Dance - I alreday tell about it but IMO its best BM band from that land

Deamonarch - I think you know Fernado Ribeiro side Project this is his Project and song lyrics he wrote in age 16 something

Eternal Morning - Gothoc/doom metal mix between male and female vocals

NZZN - Its hard rock, interesting band sings in portagese

Sirius - Melo BM

Black Windows - gothic metal

V12 - HM in portuagese

Xarhanga - Its progresive rock, from 70's its like Rusch, Led zeppelin something like that

Its quate good death/doom band from Portugal, those demo are so awesome, remainds me old good doom/death bands from early 90's , realy awesome band you all shood check this band out
Desire if you like that band, this musicaly are better Desire has more extreme music sound, this is more calmer

Bloody Trap - thrash/crossover band, realy good 80's band, all songs are about violance and riots and riot police, thay even had riot police in album covver

Extreme Unction - Black/Doom from Portugal
Its awesoem try 3th demo IMO one of best such style music, lil emaidns me Danzig
