for me that is just the line i draw. letting someone touch you is a very intimate thing. friends i'll hug and mess about with but when i'm fully clothed! haha i'd have to really like someone to let them touch me any other time, it's not something i'd want just any person doing and it's really REALLY intimate if you're wearing very little clothing. besides, you don't know what they've touched with their hands before they arrive! *shiver*

i never said sex was forbidden and in most cultures it's not really taboo any more. i just wouldn't want someone i don't know to get that intimate with me. but that's personaly preference, i must admit i have done in the past pretty much to see what it was like but i didn't rate it and i wouldn't do it again. personal preference though, some people really get off on it i think.

i was speaking online to a girl for several months following and talking her through the transition where she went from nothing, to lap dancing, to prostitute and then taking a step back from it again. it was fascinating and also really sad and upsetting at the same time which i was surprised about. i could talk mroe about that but it's a long story. not all girls are forced to work as prostitutes but many are. some do it out of choice but i do think that there is generally something that has happened in their lives to make them think it is acceptable to do and it's usually something traumatic from what i've seen. obviously some take that step into prostitution because they are curious or something which i suppose is perfectly acceptable under my motto of never regretting NOT doing or trying something.

if someone does decide to sell their body for sex then i still believe there is some underlying reason for doing so and not a good one. i think any "mentally stable girl from a nice neighbourhood and with good grades" would probably not reduce herself to standing no street corners unless something was wrong or she felt there was absolutely no other way out. working as an escort may be slightly different though and i know a few who do that, earning good money for what they sell (in their opinion) and with security of their safety, declaring taxes and living a perfectly happy life.

again, it's not something i could do. i'm not saying it never cross my mind to become and escort or something, i try to think things through and someone at a club once suggested it, but it's just a couple of steps too far for me and like i said above, that intimacy isn't something i'd feel comfortable sharing around to all and sundry!

some people class lap dancing as prostitution because in their eyes your selling your body and being paid for it. my argument (and i obviously had to have one) is that it wasn't prostitution because the aren't physically selling their bodies, the are selling kind of moving pictures of it. a bit like pornography but the guys who are watching it can't do anything so in my eyes it's a step better than doing actual porn films. they can't physically touch you and you don't normally do anything sexual, it's just a naked woman showing how beautiful the female form can be.

I think there's a reasonable enough link between (hardcore) porn and prostitution - in both cases, the person is paid to let someone have sex with them. The difference is that with porn, others are able to watch if they pay.

With lapdancing, I totally don't follow your argument. Isn't there a fair bit of physical contact involved? Doesn't that make it quite a bit more than "moving pictures"? And the guys CAN do something (rubbing their legs, etc.), whereas with porn the audience will have no contact with the woman involved.

sorry, i'm talking about in the UK. regulations are a lot stricter over here. there is a strict "no contact" rule and the guys are made to sit on their hands. if they trya nd touch you you warn them once, warn them twice (or punch them which is my prefered option!) and then press the panic button and the bouncers throw them out. you're less likely to get groped in a strip club than you are in a nightclub in my experience! tell a bouncer in a nightclub some guy groped your ass and tbh they're more likely to do it to you to take the piss or burst out laughing than do anything about it.

the same goes with any contact by the dancer. most places have security cameras inside the dance booths. some clubs have a 3 foot rule where you HAVE to stay 3 foot away from the guy, others you can use them and/or the sofa for balance (wearing 8 inch heels is tricky!) but yes, like anywhere there are clubs that flout the laws and council rules and allow full body contact where the girls sit on the guys lap and pretty much grind the whole dance. i don't work those places though and they're not within the law so i don't class them as lap dancing clubs, they're taking a step closer to brothels. *shrugs*
