I think there is a Bruce connection because I think Bruce was the vocalist of Samson for the song that is featured on Metal For Muthas I, but I am not sure though.

Which issue? I or II. But tbh both Metal For Muthas compilations aren't veyr good at all.
If you want a good compilation of NWOBHM songs and bands then try and get hold of New Wave Of British Heavy Metal '79 Revisited 2cd, which was compiled by Lars Ulrich and where Geoff Barton assisted him. The good tracks of the Metal For Muthas compilation are also on that one but the crappy tracks have been left out and it includes bands which didn't feature on MfM such as Diamond Head, Raven, Venom

2Marcel: you are right about Bruce being part of Samson in early 80ties...he called himself "Bruce Bruce" that time

Just found out he doesn't sing on the track on Metal For Muthas. He only sings on Samson's second and thrid album.

So, in fact, there is no connection between your picture and Metal for Muthas then unfortunately.

Yep

But still yuo should have known that before Iron Maiden Bruce was part of Samson as Bruce Bruce. There was another Iron Maiden member also part of Samson but I can't remember who it was.

I guess you mean Clive Burr, but in fact they were two - "Thunderstick" Graham also played in Maiden for some time

from reading booklets i also noticed Janick Gers played in White Spirit, which is band involved on Metal For Muthas II

i own "Run To The Hills" Iron Maiden official biography and there are all those moments written and described...i read it, but i forgot most of the facts from it already...

I have a theory... Maiden was heavily influenced by Scorpions, just check out the song "We'll Burn The Sky", half of it sounds like it's made up of Piece Of Mind-era material and stuff like that.

If this would be the case, and Maiden headlining Sonisphere I don't care if I have to fly all the way from Austria!
